Will the Appointed White House Decorator Be Using Ikat?
At this blog, it was told that the Californian interior designer Michael S Smith had been appointed as the Obama’s chief home designer, the White House decorator.
It was also mentioned that Michael S Smith used ikat on his beautifully designed library as you can see in the picture below:
There we can see a quilt of a traditional Indonesian style covering the sofa and cushions in both Indian fabrics and Turkish ikat.
Will Mr. Smith use ikat in on Obama’s new home? We’ll see.
